Trying Campbell’s Country Chicken and sweet corn and Heinz Classic Chicken & Sweetcorn

So here’s a picture of what the cans look like.

Here’s how the Country Ladle one looks in a bowl. Kernels of corn can be clearly seen. There are small pieces of potato and chicken as well. The soup mostly tastes of the corn. It is actually quite watery, but not easily observed when stirred. There aren’t many pieces of chicken and they are mostly about the size of the corn kernels. I’m a little sad about the name being chicken and sweet corn, would have been more accurate the other way round.

And here’s how the Heinz Chicken & Sweetcorn looks like. It is creamier (in looks and taste) and I can taste more chicken in the soup. There are also rather few pieces of chicken. Also disappointing.

Heinz Chicken & Sweetcorn being creamier and richer soup, would be my first choice, but the other one comes quite close! I wouldn’t mind having either of them again in future.

Side by side comparison, anyone? And I must say this is the first time in this series of posts the actual food  resembles the pictures on the cans!
